I came across this picture while blogging today, and I instantly got goosebumps. Sun flowers always remind me of my father. He loved to garden. I know a lot of people think that gardening is for women, but it's not. My father was one of the best gardener's I had ever seen. He could drop a seed in the crack in the cement and a beautiful flower would grow. Along the trellis in our front yard he planted a row of sun flowers, and for years after he passed they would just keep growing because of the seeds that feel from the head of them. It has been seven years since he passed, and even thought I don't live in the same house anymore, I bet if I were to drive by this spring, when everything starts to bloom, there would be sunflowers. And, I'm really glad sun flowers (and morning glory's) remind my of my father, because no matter how upset you are, if you look at a sun flower, you automatically think of and picture the sun, and I don't know about everyone else, but when it's sunny, I am in a good mood. God, I miss you, Dad, every single day. I would give anything to be able to wake up and see you again. Thanks for keeping Mom strong, I Love you.
