What Happened to R&B?

I'm listening to the Trey Songz station on Pandora Radio, and "because of you" by Marques Houston came on. For some reason when I hear old songs, I get a little sad. Not because of the meaning the song has to me, but because music like this is RARELY made anymore. Real r&b isn't ever made anymore. I'm not talking about this particular song, but when's the last time you heard a new r&b song that hit you and made you feel the same way "everytime I close my eyes" by Babyface did the first time you heard it? Almost every old r&b song produced provoked emotion. Now-a-days? Nothing. It is SO rare that I hear a new r&b song that makes me feel something, and most of the time it's from underground artists that no one else gives a chance. Now all r&b songs are about sex and somehow money or cheating, but back when I was younger, a love song could be about anything at all, not just sex. It was about feelings. Maybe, I'm a hopeless romantic, but, I just want that old thing back.
